four octaves, range from absolute musical alphabet from g to g3 ，

Sound through the vibration of the strings, pronounced sometimes sweet sometimes veiled.

　Origin and development of modern liuqin has gone through many of the predecessors of continuous research and development,

in the early liuqin absorb many Chinese plucked string musical instrument Characteristic ,

不僅是樂隊中最高音的樂器， 

同樣在室內樂，戲曲，
等不同領域散發其迷人的魅力。

因為它是多才多藝的，
既能演奏出悠揚清脆的曲調，
又有時讓人感到快速激昂。

　柳琴屬于四條弦彈撥樂器，
音域達四個八度，
音區從第四弦絕對音名g到g3，
透過琴弦振動發聲，
發音時而清脆時而委婉，
經常與其它的樂器形成鮮明對照。

　現代柳琴的起源與發展
經歷了許多前人的不斷開發研究，
特別是在早期多種彈撥器樂的相互影響，
取長補短，互相促進，
最後才發展定型的。

柳琴不僅僅是一樣樂器，
而是一個會呼吸、
有個性的生命體，
對于長期練習而得到淬煉的琴來說，
更是如此。
